We had a wonderful sleep and feel that the jet lag might be behind us. We started our day with breakfast at Peaches, a local coffee shop.

Trinity College Chapel had a service at 10:45, so we joined them along with nine other people. There were 20 people leading the service, including the very talented student choir. We haven’t sung accompanied by a pipe organ in a long time.

I returned in the afternoon to visit the Long Room library and the Book of Kells. It is basically a manuscript 1200 years old that contains the first four gospels, and they are intricately decorated and colored. The long room was also magnificent to see. I encourage you to research it online if you want more information.

Gary chose to take a class on how to make an Irish Whiskey Coffee, and he really enjoyed that. There were only six in his class, but there were hundreds on my tour.

Today was quite rainy, but the marathon went on as planned, and there were thousands of people on the streets. We grabbed some tapas at a Spanish restaurant for a late lunch, and then wandered around listening to music. I thought I would add a few random photos today.

Parking is at a premium, so the people parked horizontally leave their vehicles in neutral so that if someone needs more space, they just push your vehicle to one side or the other. We saw someone do this the other day.
Tomorrow is another long day as we head to Belfast. Good night from Dublin.
