Mediterranean Adventure

November 20/23

I am happy to report that 41 hours after leaving home, we have safely arrived in Malta. We have wanted to visit here for a long time, and so far we are not disappointed!

We arrived at Tano’s Boutique Guesthouse just in time to catch the view of the fading sun from the rooftop terrace.

I was starving, so we headed out to find food and settled on fried rabbit, a traditional Maltese dish.

Fried rabbit and gravy with roasted potatoes and sautéed vegetables.

Gary says it wasn’t as good as his Oma’s rabbit and gravy with strudel, but it was still very good.

We wandered a bit before settling for the night and a much needed 10.5 hour sleep.

This journey will take us to many places that the Apostle Paul visited, so stay tuned.

Paul arrived in Malta after being shipwrecked (Acts 27-28) so we are glad that our arrival by Lufthansa was far less stressful . I love it when Paul basically says, “I told you so!” (Acts 27:21)

I look forward to breakfast on the rooftop, and then we will explore the ancient city of Valletta on foot.
