Breakfast on the terrace was delightful. The chocolate and pistachio puff pastries were fresh out of the oven.😊

I went to learn the history of Malta at a 45 minute movie called the Malta Experience while Gary went for a walk. These islands have a 7000 year human history and have been fought over many times.

The narrow streets were so fun to wander, and we found a few churches along the way. I especially enjoyed noticing all of the unique door knobs.

The city’s architect wanted a functional city that was pretty, and I think he succeeded.

Wooden balconies were painted to mimic jewels.

An Italian lunch at Grana’s was certainly enjoyed: bruschetta, salad and tortellini.

After a much needed afternoon nap, we headed west to watch the sunset.

A soak in the rooftop hot tub was so relaxing , and we heard the clock from St John’s Co-Cathedral ring every 15 minutes.

A search for drinking water and gelato ended our day. There was success on both parts!
