Bula means “hello” in Fijian. The Fijian people are very friendly and we have been hearing “Bula” since we arrived. Our Air New Zealand flight from Auckland to Sydney went very quickly as I had just enough time to watch the Hobbit Part 1. After clearing customs, we were driven to the Radisson Blu Resort on Denarau Island. We will spend the next 5 nights here, so I was pleased to unpack my suitcase after three weeks. It is hot and the humidity is very high, but we are enjoying it so far.

This afternoon, we headed down to the Marina and booked a deep sea fishing trip for tomorrow. We enjoyed some delicious Italian food for supper: fresh lobster in a cream sauce along with linguini!

We took a walk on the beach and enjoyed the sunset. The ocean water is so warm!!
