I wanted to write one final post after we got home. Writing while on vacation is a bit stressful at times when technology is involved.
I thought I would point out a few differences from life in Italy versus life back home.
Italian bathrooms have buttons to push when you want to flush!

This is a bidet.

Italians like to have covered garbage cans.

Public bathrooms are difficult to find, and they cost from 75 cents to $1.50 Canadian to use once you go find one. They do have nice tiles, though!

Vehicles are much tinier in Italy. They make North American Smart Cars look gigantic.

Their electrical outlets are also different.

The air is also very humid. I did not miss the static cling and dry skin which is prevalent during Alberta winters.
We enjoyed/endured our long flights home on Swiss Air and Air Canada. Swiss Air spoiled us with a croissant on a one hour flight.

This was one of our meals on the long flight.

And chocolate, of course.

Cookie is also glad to be home. Here he is wearing his gondolier hat from Venice.

My phone says that we walked over 190 km on our vacation. Thankfully our bodies were able to do so! Thank you for following along, and we thank God for safety and for the opportunity to explore more of this beautiful world!
