Check out our first post from this major European cruising hub from December 7, 2023.

1500 people left today, with 1100 of us staying on for the next two weeks. I assume another 1500 have joined us to make the transatlantic crossing to Fort Lauderdale. We had to go ashore to get our passports stamped before we could continue our journey, so we went back to my favourite Italian thrift store chain and then stopped at a very busy bakery for coffee and goodies.

Once we were back on board, we enjoyed watching several semi-loads of supplies being delivered to our ship. A large German Shepherd dog was sniffing each pallet of fresh fruit and vegetables, looking for drugs we assume!

Since we refuelled in Naples yesterday, once all of the supplies are onboard and new passengers have viewed the safety video and reported to their muster stations, we can set sail for Cartagena, Spain.

Tomorrow is a sea day, so arrivederci until Monday evening.
