There were 53 passengers on our bus this morning, and our tour guide was rather animated. He started the day with singing off-key Irish songs with gusto. It was a bit much at seven in the morning, but we had a wonderful day.

After about a two hour drive to Belfast, Gary and I took a Black Cab tour for 90 minutes which taught us about the political situation in Northern Ireland.

It was very informative, and we were able to sign our names on the peace wall.

We made a quick stop at the Titanic Museum, and then headed to Dunluce Castle which is built high on cliffs overlooking the ocean. This 15th century castle has been seen on Game of Thrones.

A short drive away was the Giants Causeway. It is an interesting rock formation which stretches out towards Scotland.

We decided to do the Red Hike, which took us about 75 minutes.

After exerting all that energy, we headed to The Nook for some delicious lamb stew and Bailey’s cheesecake!

On our way back to Dublin, we were treated to views of lush green pastures and sheep that were spray painted with their owner’s colours to tell them apart.

We arrived back in Dublin around 7:30, and we were fortunate to have good weather while we were out and about. It rained most of the journey back, and there was some napping between our guide’s singing and Irish music. 😊
Tomorrow we have nothing much planned and we fly to Athens on Wednesday, so stay tuned for more as it happens!
