Gary and I were struggling with jet lag as we were both awake far too late last night.
When we did wake up, we headed over to Trinity College to check out the grounds of this beautiful academic institution which was started in 1592.

I will return on Sunday to go through the old library, as we found out that one needs to pre-book tickets to get in to see this world-famous site.

We had a lovely lunch at The Bank restaurant which used to house the bank of Ireland, and it has been converted into a visually stunning place to eat.

By this time it was raining a bit, but we wandered in and out of shops, finally heading back to our room for a rest.

St. Patrick’s Cathedral (established 1191 AD) was our destination at 5:30 for Evensong. This is a 30 minute worship service that is led by the Church of Ireland minister and choir of 8 people. The four part harmony was spectacular as the sounds reverberated throughout the massive sanctuary.
The streets are alive tonight as this is Bank Holiday weekend (that’s actually the name of the holiday), graduation at Trinity College, voting day for the Irish people, and a marathon on Sunday!
We managed to find some delicious Dublin fish and chips for supper along with some Irish fiddle music after walking by this unique artwork: base legs of scaffolding surrounded by OSB and beautifully painted!

Tomorrow will be an early morning as we are heading to the Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park. It is a 14 hour bus excursion, so do not expect to hear from me until Sunday. 😂
Goodnight!
