Rhodes Old Town is a world heritage site with buildings dating back millennia. The apostle Paul visited here briefly at the end of his 3rd missionary journey on his way back to Jerusalem.
There are maps throughout the old town depicting structures from the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman empires.
And there are a lot of cats!!!

After walking along the boardwalk along the bay, we found the statue of the dolphins.

We were told that the entrance to the old city was to the left, and the instructions were correct!

The streets are made of tiny oval shaped rocks about 1×2 or 1×3 inches in size.

If you look carefully, you can see the moon to the right of this ancient mosque.

The Knights of Saint John lived on this island before being kicked out by the Ottomans, and from here they went to Malta.
We found a lovely path to walk along around the outside of the walled city and then we found we were walking in the moat!

A leather salesman named George enticed us into his showroom and found me a lovely leather jacket. They will make a jacket to your measurements in about two days. I did not purchase it, but it was fun to try on.

After a bit of shopping and a Greek snack and drink, we headed back to the ship. It was sunny and warm today. And we are hoping the same for tomorrow in Mykonos.
