November 25/23
Our voyage has gone well so far. Our room is on the 6th floor near the back of the ship, and the gentle rolling has helped us sleep beautifully! The food has been delicious as well. My favourite Princess dessert appeared last night.

This morning we were up early as we arrived in Katakolon, the gateway to Olympia. We decided to explore in town .

Gary enjoyed his coffee while I used the free Wifi to catch up on a few things.

We started exploring and found a fixer upper: only concrete was poured and then abandoned. The view was awesome from the second floor!

Next was a Greek cemetery.

Here is the view of both from the beach

Further down the road, we were enjoying beautiful flowers and trees, and we decided to find a way to the beach. A lovely elderly lady told us that we could go through her yard, but then she asked us if we knew German. We said yes, and then she invited us in for coffee and a visit. That was a highlight. Georgia was so gracious, and so happy to have company. Her children operate a restaurant during the tourist season, but then they leave and come back again in the spring. Between Gary and I we managed to communicate, and for those of you who know that I do not drink coffee, I decided to drink the strong espresso, which she graciously added sugar to. She spoke very little English, but we had a lovely time.

She also sent us on our way with some fresh pomegranates and oranges from her trees.

After a bit of shopping, it was time to head back to the ship. We look forward to tomorrow.
