November 23/23
Happy Thanksgiving to our American family and friends!
Yesterday we followed in the footsteps of the apostle Paul; he left Malta to head to Rome, and so did we. There was quite a thunderstorm in the afternoon, and our taxi ride to the airport was entertaining as we navigated the flooding streets. Our flight on Air Malta was a little bumpy at times, but we were happy to land and spend the night at the Best Western Hotel Rome Airport.
This morning we were treated to a beautiful breakfast at our hotel. So, if brownies for breakfast is what the Romans do, that is what I did. I also enjoyed chocolate stuffed mini cannelloni. Zoom in on this for more detail.

We’re just getting ready to take a shuttle to the Civitavecchia cruise port where we will get on our ship. The Island Princess will be our home for the next 28 days as we spend three weeks in the Mediterranean and then cross the Atlantic to Fort Lauderdale. I will post our schedule here so that you can follow if you’d like. We may or may not have Internet along the way, so I will update when I can.

Until next time, Pearl
