Curaçao

On February 17th we arrived at Willemstad, a city of about 155,000 people, on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao. We have been here before, and I looked forward to seeing all of the colorful architecture again.

The buildings remind me of Amsterdam

We walked across the Queen Emma floating bridge. It moves out of the way when a ship needs to pass through. Our ship is in the background.

This is another view of the bridge.

We found a Fixer Upper!

I couldn’t help but think of what stories I would hear if the walls could talk!

This one would take a bit less work!

Plumerias are my favorite flower, so I was thrilled to find an artist working on this painting! It was so bright and cheery. I did end up finding a real plumeria as we wandered and I enjoyed the sweet scent!

Selfie Time

This was the view from our balcony.

We enjoyed a few hours wandering and shopping. The weather was perfect, and we savored another glorious day away from ice and snow!!
