Welcome to our next adventure!😊 Gary and I had talked about taking a cruise through the Panama Canal, and a few of our friends were interested in joining us, so here we are, over a year later! There are twelve of us in our group, and we left Los Angeles on the Emerald Princess in January 2, 2020.
After two days at sea, we arrived in Puerto Vallarta on January 5th. Gary and I ended up walking down to Malecon district which is a touristy area in the old city. It was very hot and humid!

The streets still had some festive Christmas decorations displayed.
We managed to meet up with our travel companions and find an outdoor pub which was showing the World Juniors Canada vs Russia Gold medal game.
We were thrilled that Canada won the gold medal, but it was weird watching hockey by the beach instead of being snuggled up in my blanket in the great white north.
We walked back to the ship and looked forward to a shower in our teeny tiny cruise ship bathroom.
