Palma de Mallorca

Before I continue on with our adventure, I must stop for a brief commercial message. Our La Casa Gran bed and breakfast in Barcelona was fantastic and I highly recommend it! Here is the website: https://www.lacasagranbarcelonabb.com/english

This is the front of our building, and Gary is using a golden skeleton key to get us in the gate. 🙂. The sounds of traffic lulled me to sleep at night, or maybe it was jet lag!

Friday noon was our boarding time at the Norwegian Star, and our taxi driver delivered us safely. The lanes are very narrow, and I think I heard us scrape another vehicle as we made our way to the port.

Our inside cabin is tiny but adequate, and we enjoyed some delicious supper.

Lobster ravioli

Flounder

Stuffed pepper

Lava cake

After dinner we were wandering around the ship and ran into Gerry, my high school teacher from Valleyview, and his wife, Bonnie. We had a good laugh as he told us that our mutual hair dresser told him to watch out for us! Thanks, Penny! 😆

Today we are at Palma de Mallorca, a Spanish island in the Mediterranean. The weather could get a bit wet, so Gary and I went for a long walk after breakfast while the sun was still out.

I assume this was part of the island’s defence system. I peered in the slits where the archers would have been.

We walked down the marina where there were hundreds of boats in many sizes.

We set sail today at 1300h. Although the waves were quite rocky last night, we managed to sleep quite well. Hopefully today will be smooth sailing. Farewell for now…
