The sun shone this morning!

Unfortunately, we had to leave this beautiful place, so off we went to Rome.
Our Mercedes shuttle van driver was a retired Formula One driver, or so he drove. He shaved 10 minutes off of the previous time that we had coming to Amalfi. Laura said that no one needed to drive that fast!

Once in Naples, we took the high speed train to Rome.
Here we are going almost 300 km/hr.

We snacked, napped, or read.

The view from our room in Rome isn’t quite as nice as the Amalfi Coast. 🙂
We settled in and walked to the Colosseum, only to find that it had switched to Winter hours yesterday, so it closed as we got there.

There were other sites to see.

Random places above with Trevi Fountain behind me.

Sunset
We had laundry to do, so we dropped off a load at the laundromat and went to find supper.

An Italian Opera, La Traviata, rounded out our day at the Paul Within the Walls Episcopalian Church.
