Tuesday morning we were able to relax and enjoy our breakfast before taking the train to Florence. Did I mention that our legs are sore??

After arriving in Florence, our trusty van driver took us to the Hotel Paris, just a short walk from the train station. We took some time to plan our 4 days here, book tickets where needed, do laundry, and shop in the central market. We enjoyed a supper of Venice style grilled sandwiches and gelato, and had an early evening.

Wednesday morning we enjoyed another great breakfast including chocolate tart!!

We took Cookie Monster with us to Pisa and found the leaning tower.

The scenery was lovely and we enjoyed the day!

We also toured the local cathedral.

After a brief nap on the return train trip to Florence , we toured the Santa Maria Cathedral museum and the baptistery. Just before sunset, we climbed the 414 steps up to see the view from the bell tower.

An Italian supper of various local specialties was enjoyed and our day winded down.

Gary wanted to see if anyone would help donate to the cost of our trip since we have noticed many beggars and buskers. I think his camera gave him away. He had no takers!!🙂
