And so our adventure begins…

I was hoping to have some free time to relax today, and now I do. We took the day to pack, repack, get rid of more stuff, and finish up those last minute things that need to be done before leaving on vacation. We panicked at times, but eventually Denise came and shuttled us to the airport at 6:45. We checked in after finding out that our flight is delayed by at least 1 1/2 hours. Evidently there is a broken plane somewhere, and so we await a functioning one to arrive. I probably should have checked to see if our flight was on time before we left home, but now we are resting comfortably on airport benches.

My goal is to read one chapter from the book of Proverbs each day on this 28 day adventure, so this morning I started with Proverbs chapter 1. Verse 33 says: “but whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster”. I will have to listen and trust that God will take us through whatever He has in store for us. And so for now, we wait.
